Hi, I am Ruthy, I was born and raised in Israel but moved to the US 14 years ago. My husband and I have three kids and three grandchildren.
My mom taught me different crafts, and introduced me to sewing and how to use the sewing machine at a young age.
As a young adult, I started my sewing adventures as a seamstress. Designing patterns and seeing how they fit customers was very satisfying.
Years later I got to learn the art of quilting. I joined classes that taught me the basics of quilting; the sewing part wasn't new to me, but I had to learn all of the quilting terms. Since then I've pieced pieces of fabric together that end up being wall hangings, table toppers, bed covers…the possibilities are endless.
When I moved to the US I learned about traditional quilts, bed covers, and blankets, and quilted many of these things too.
I enjoy going to quilt shows, getting inspired from other quilters' works, and continuing my education by attending classes.
